Year of the Red Fire Rooster

So, I had a bit of trouble deciding what to do for Chinese New Year. I mean it would be good to finally work on Zodiac Pals, but I think it's pretty clear I don't have actually know what my plan was for that. I mean I last mentioned it last new years when I said I was going to do more Zodiac Pals. That was clearly a lie.

Then while passively googling I saw that it was the Year of the Red Fire Rooster. I mean that just sounds cool and fits on this site with no issues, so while ignoring the details I put this together.

Clash

I enjoy this sort of colorful flashy sorta abstract streaks of light fight.

Waves

I wanted to do something different. I'm not sure how it turned out but it definitely looks fresh. Not sure it's an attractive fresh, but it does look like it was done very purposefully.

Ball Cap

Ball cap on the head.
Going to the shed.

BALL CAP ON THE HEAD!

Put that to a dramatic rap melody in your head. Get hype.

Pipecleaners

You guys like not MS paint right? I don't do physical things very often, but I needed some decorations so you get some lovely pipe cleaner chickens. Sorry "Fuzzy stick" chickens. It's the Walmart brand. I made the black one first, but I think the blue one looks more entertaining.

The Chicken

He used to just be a chicken, but after coming in first place he was The Chicken.

Dark Focus

The use of various grays and slight staggering in the outline gives an unfocused feeling to the majority of the image, with the exception of the red eyes. Combined with the dark background the image is slightly off-putting, which helps create the uncertain feeling of "evil" the artist was trying to convey.

Consideration

I'm considering something that I probably won't actually do, but I think would be entertaining to work on. On the other hand I have plenty of things I could be finishing up rather than starting a new thing on the side. This is concept art for that something. That's a non-digital thing though so it would probably be a distraction.

Refined Gentlefowl

A true gentlefowl at the most refined of parties. Though I think that's red wine in that martini glass so I'm not sure how refined he really is. Nice bow tie though.
