Pastels

Happy Easter. Pastel Colors put me in a cheerful spring mood, but the colors took me more tries than I would like to admit.

10 Years of Chicken Maker

Welcome to the annual St Patrick's Day Chicken Maker Anniversary, where I green up some of my favorites from the past year.
Now, this site has been running for a full 10 years, so as a throwback I did one of the very first image on the site as well.
I added some depth to the Line Art |
A green SciFi Villain is more digital than space |
Nest just looks odd in green |
The twig of a Witch's Wand must have worked. Now the bird is green. |
Is the Nest on Branch just part of the tree? |
I used some red for contrast in Can't Miss |

Traditional Christmas End
By
Chicken Maker
at
Everyone, the end of Christmas and with it the end of the year are coming. As such we celebrate with the most traditional of Christmas traditions. Upon his Golden Star, the Christmas Fowl soars across the red sky, releasing the green light that will eventually become spring. So for the last time this year I say "Merry Christmas" to one, and to all.
Small side note but these Traditional Christmas End pictures all have the wrong year, last years is 2018, the one before that is 2017. I considered just making this 2019 and not thinking about it, but I marked it as 2018T instead. Not really important, but I thought I would let you know.

Featheriest Elf
By

Santa's Featheriest Elf was shocked to learn the secret that had been kept the bird's whole life. Indeed that was it. The Elf was in fact a Bird. In retrospect it seemed so obvious. The beak, the feathers, the inability to use tools and create toys.
As an aside I intended this to be from behind the elf but the pointy ears and nose are basically identical. I leave it to the viewer's discretion.

Dull Holidays

Yes, today is indeed Christmas or whatever. It's cold out so you should probably just go inside and forget about this. What? Of course this isn't a Santa outfit.

Christmas Eve

Tomorrow is Christmas day, but the weather is rather nice and the snow is melting. A white Christmas is nice but there's nothing wrong with seeing the green grass either.

Undead

Let us not forget the tale of America's, nay, the world's greatest side show chicken. Miraculous Mike lived 18 months without a head before choking on a bit of mucus.
That's not really a horror story, but what else am I expected to discuss with this. Normal zombies can be killed by removing the head or destroying the brain.

Whether it was a mad killer or a real incarnation of death the bird felt the reaper's scythe against its neck.

And with this we will conclude the Blue Period and start Halloween. I planned to end it sooner, but I was quite enjoying it. Not enough to do a monochrome holiday though.

Today is American Independence Day, or as we call it here The Fourth of July. This reminds you what day it is so it's hard to get wrong. Despite this I almost forgot to make a post regarding it.

9 Years of Chicken Maker

So, in celebration of St. Patrick's Day and this excellent website's 9th anniversary here is a selection of my favorites from the past year, but green this time, as is the yearly post.
Honorable mention for Gentlefowl and Stand Tall, but doing 9 seemed excessive... Actually this is the 9th anniversary so here's those ones too.

Gem King The Background is red for contrast |
Bamboo Chicken The green version is clearly no longer balanced over the water. |
Sneak Snake Sneak Snake Green is even sneakier |
Adventurer I left the core chicken unchanged because this piece has a lot of details |
Under the Spotlight I intentionally made this version very flat because this gets monotonous, though this one is very monotone. |
Face Me Fowl Fiend I feel this is missing something but I still like it |

Christmas is done. The spirit of Christmas stands atop a house, staring at the snow.
This is not the final Christmas post.

Tree - Hidden Chicken
By

There is a chicken hidden in this picture... I think. I can't say for sure. I can't seem to find it now.
Okay, did you find it yet?
You can keep looking.
Okay, the correct answer is...
Highlight to reveal: 4th bulb from the top.

Presenting Presents

Box. Cylinder. Skewed box. Not only are these shapes easy to draw they're also the ones I can easily wrap. Unlike such dark and twisted shapes as blanket or bag.
