How to Electricity

In my continued efforts to improve the trivially useless knowledge of my fanbase I have decided to teach you how to find the equivalent impedance of an RLC Phasor circuit.

As everything is in series we can just add them all together. so, Z(L1)+Z(L2)+Z(R1)+Z(R2)+Z(R3)+Z(C1)=Zeq. Now the Z of a R is just R so that simplifies down to R1+R2+R3+Z(L1)+Z(L2)+Z(C1). Now the Z(C)=1/(jωC ), where j=(-1)^(1/2). Or if you recall from algebra it was often called i. Square root of -1. That's why electricity's imaginary. Similarly Z(L) = jωL.

So the final Equivalent resistance is jωL1+jωL2+R1+R2+R3+(1/jωC1)
Oh yes. And ω is 2π f, where f is frequency.

Alphabet of Chicken Video


Well, I've got a video here with the good old song of the alphabet. It's all timed up with the Alphabet of Chicken that was recently finished. This is the final stage of that project. Bon Voyage alphabet. Soon this site will set sail toward a new destination, not that I know what that is. Until I know where I'm going all I can do is race blindly forward!

P.

I guess I was a liar. I posted up the "That's All Folks" thinking I was finished up for this sprint. But well... Here I come with the letter P.
 The idea behind this one. hit me like a cannon. The last time I stuck a chicken in the hole but why not just have the hole be the chicken. Then a word came to mind. Well, that's not quite true. It's a prefix. Pseudo- This pseudo-chicken was the obvious solution when it came down to it. It's black and white because it's not really there, being just a shadow of a notion. Whether it's the chicken or the P that isn't really there is up to you, but if you ask me both are just notions.

Yeah, I'm doubling up for this 1 in the Morning sprint I got. This is O. I admit it's rather blatant but I figured you all appreciate me mentioning my inspiration. It was good ole porky pig popping out at the end of Looney Tunes and giving up his stuttered catch phrase, "That's all folks."

I've been in a bit of a slowdown this past month so I've decided that it's time for me to kick it up a notch here. And by that I mean I've resumed work of the alphabet.

I drew the N without really caring much. I've started on it a few times before but never finished it so I didn't really think on it too much. Then I turned my head a bit and there is was. The two beaks which would allow the letter to be with the chicken.

L.


Today I am proud to present the letter 'L.'  It's a classic letter used in various words such as "Lamp," "Llama"(a rare double L opening), "Lyrical," "Mall," "Lamborghini," and Lots of others.

I opted to use a flaring style one this one. It probably could have come out better but it seems quite solid to me at any rate.

A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, Z

Once I pick up 'M' I'll be half way to completion. Also my secret project is slightly collaborative and someone hasn't gotten back to me with something I wanted to put up here so I don't have it to show yet.

K.

K, for reasons beyond me, is my favorite letter. Perhaps because it's one of those sharp letters that never gets used, like X and Z. I can't say for certain though. At any rate I just decided to have chickens poking from various angles out of it. Also the different lines having separate outlines was entirely by choice. I think it looks smoother like that than it did then I tried it without.



Also thank you to Nolan for commenting on me. I am indeed a fan of yours and voted for your site before you said anything.

J.

So, I appear to be having another period where I can't draw. What a terrible month for me to declare an intent to do 30. Well, I'll make it up one day when I get the knack back.


 At any rate today I have the letter J, with a Serif because Sans Serif seemed like too lazy of a way to do it. It's just the letter J with a chicken poking up over it. Really one of my less stellar works I must admit.

It's been quite a while since my last alphabet letter so I figure now is as good a time as any. I actually rather like the Dark [COLOR] outline filled with [COLOR]. I may want to do more like that in the future. Anyways since I is symmetrical I decided to make this one a chicken mirrored onto both sides.

Also I'm working on a new secret project, for which I'll release some info soonish, so if there are any notable delays in my activity that project is the reason. Mind you, since I'm resuming the Alphabet so I should be able to maintain a good release rate.

This is the next letter in the alphabet. I bet you never expected it but H is the one immediately following G. Knowing this I acted fast and made it lime green.

E.


Come on now. You didn't expect the whole alphabet to be in that generic alphabet style, did you? You had to know that at least one letter would be in Gritty Sharpness or else we'd all have to cry. And E. seemed the best letter in the near future to fill the role, though X or Z would also have worked well in the position

Also in response to the earlier comment. Everyone knows that A, B and C are supposed to be Green , Red and Blue, respectively. At least that's how it is in the North East. Though regardless... Mine is wrong.

When I started on this one I was concerned that it might be mistaken for a G., but then I said to myself, "No, they'll focus on the blue letter that really stands out from the background." And with that I confidently said that this was C. I hope my faith in you all isn't misplaced.

NEW PROJECT - A.

I'm starting a new project. It is going to last until it is done. I don't know how long it'll take but I'm in no hurry to finish it. This is the first of the twenty-six parts.

The new series is of course Alphabet of Chicken. Today we have A.

I like how A. came out. The chicken's got a nice dangling look to it.
