This blue ninja is especially sneaky in the ocean.

Feeling... blue? Will everything be blue for the next week? I have no idea. Very maybe. Not sure why my monochrome is still always blue.

Spooky Walk

A spooky walk through a spooky graveyard for a couple of chicken friends. Truly an image worthy of the ChickenMaker.net Halloween Spooktacular

I'd have more commentary, but just watch the video. It took me hours to do this, mainly because I wanted to look good on what is the first video I've properly done for Patreon, even though I've been at that level for a few month now... The video is sped up and I wanted to give a good commentary so let me know how I did.

Ghost in the Skillet

An old man pulled out a skillet, preparing for dinner. Heating some oil he dug in the refrigerator for some boneless skinless chicken breasts he had taken out to thaw a few days earlier. The man couldn't find them, and turned back to the stove, only to see the terrifying sight of a ghastly chicken forming over the skillet. In terror the man fled from his home.

In Pumpkin

I considered spooky the top priority and what could cause more terror than opening your Jack-O-Lanterns to the terrifying visage of a waking bird.

Bloody Head

We're aiming for a strong start to this Halloween Spooktacular with this particularly gruesome and disconcerting image of a battered and broken chicken head.

No worries if this isn't your style, as the rest of the posts in today's spooktacular will be more wholesome.

Cultist

The evil cultist was all ready for the evil cult meeting but not another soul was around. The bird was wearing the robe and had the stone circle and the purple candle. It was like no one even cared.

Fence

The fenced in ground was well worn by the birds. No grass grew there anymore.

The scale of this fence is obviously way off, but I think it looks nice. This isn't exactly a realistic or detailed piece after all. I feel satisfied with this piece.

October 2019 Wallpaper - Graffiti

In this month's piece I made very heavy use of the spraycan tool. It's one of the most abused tools by new MS Paint artists, since it's fancy. I thoroughly abused it in this piece to texture the wall, draw the graffiti chicken, write the logo. As you see this bird is putting in the effort and I choose to do the same. Look forward to another one next month.

Polish

This is the website it is so I generally draw generic cartoon chickens, but sometimes I want to extend a bit into more different chickens. Sometimes I do this through art style, but other times I do this by looking at some pictures of a more different chicken. This is a Polish Chicken.

Over The City

The thieving bird was about to be caught. Atop the roof the police had it surrounded. No one could have seen his escape coming. The news copter that had been recording the whole chase suddenly dropped a ladder and the bird smoothly flew away.

Designs

A small set of simple designs. I just wanted to try a few different flavors out and I thought this was a good way to present them.

Cyclops

When considering how many eyes a character should have a major consideration should be in how many you want to draw. That's the main decision point in this one.

Hey everybody. This piece has a real positive vibe. I was originally planning to do more with it, but I just really liked the way it looked so I stopped. I feel like a background would only detract from it and distract from the simplicity.

How have I not used this title? I was trying to think of something clever and settled on "I'll just call it Pixel Chicken 3 or something" only to find that Pixel Chicken 1 didn't exist.

I've really let basic pixel art and spriting really fall to the wayside of late. Need to keep these skills polished. After all making random pixel art is something that fundamentally ties into this site, and is a skill I had prior to starting the site. The shading came out well, though I like solid colors in black outlines as a matter of preference.

Fighter

The brave fighter treks through the land, looking up at the sky of swirls, searching for a worthy adversary.

He's a vague fighter type.

On The Street

Another incident had ravaged this city. The detective had seen too much. He was no longer the soft boiled detective he had been in the past and sometimes it was hard for him to accept that. Looking over the crime scene he couldn't even feel pity for the victim. It wasn't that he wasn't going to find the criminal, but a hard boiled detective couldn't really care.

September 2019 Wallpaper - Through the Air

This month we have a more comical wallpaper. One bird looks on in confusion as another prepares to be fired from a cannon. I considered recoloring this to sepia since it seems like something out of an old silent comedy film.

Still Shaken

The doubled outline and unsaturated colors give this piece a vague shaken look.

I've been sick for more than a week and I apologize for my lack of activity this month. Usually when I post something like this I say I'll make up for lost time, but it seems a bit late to say that since the month is almost over.

Action Game

Facing off against the giant death chicken in a bronze age themed action game. Things are going well so far.

Whiteboard

I bought a whiteboard. It was very cheap for a reason. Anyways, I went ahead and tested it out.

Flowers

Wandering a field of pastel flowers is a refreshing view on the world. It's more of a Spring look than a fall one, but we can still peak at flowers for a bit longer this year.

Sand Serpent

In this piece I chose to use a primarily orange palette to emphasize the desert heat. I felt that the confrontation between chicken and snake was something I had overused on this site, but there aren't that many.

Fat Bird

This bird is fat and has a big face. It certainly isn't an issue of tiny feet. It's the rest of the bird that is the problem.

Also there's a hat. That's good for aesthetics.

Skating

This appearance accurately reflects roller skating at your local skate place during elementary school. In a lot of ways it's like your local cosmic bowling alley, only with more small children and it probably doesn't serve alcohol.

The wizard and thief crossed the dire cliffs, preparing to face off against the darkness that lay beyond.

Flutter

The adorable bird makes a fluttering jump onto the stump. The chicken will keep striving to be a better jumper.

Face To Face

When somebody gets in your face... Maybe they're just awkward and want to be friends. Or maybe they're a dreadful fiend who wants to tear out your throat. No real way to know so keep up your guard and maybe invite them to lunch.

Beach

Swimming trunks do not go on birds. This is quite trivial and you should already know it. So bird... Take them off.

Witch

A cheerful and excited witch, except more apathetic than cheerful.

Eye Laser

I thought the gap between this one and the last one seemed too long. Obviously that's because I made but forgot to actually post this one.

To clarify it isn't really a laser or even an energy blast. This is PsYcHiC PoWeRs!

Which Reminds me I had a concept for PsyChic the Psychic Chicken. I think it was greek letters Phi and Chi as the logo. It was going to be a little puzzle game or something. I don't think I got past that bit. Maybe I'll circle back around.

Song Bird?

Chickens do make a variety of noises, but they aren't generally considered songbirds. This one is trying, though it isn't really working.

Bird Crown

A true king of birds. Rather than a common comb this one has a crown. But not like an eagle. It's made of metal. Honestly it's rather scary.

Eye Hell

It's hard to say what wrong this bird did, but we can say with certainty that it did wrong. Elsewise it wouldn't be in a place like this.

The reader searches the shelves looking for the tool needed to read the aged tomes. Now where were those glasses?

On Holiday

I'm on holiday and I'm sorry to say my mouse died half way through drawing this. Not sure how much else I'll get out this week.

Artist

A skilled artist. You can tell from his scarf and hat. Also the quality abstract sky and grass in his recent piece behind him. Sheer artistic skill and talent confront you. Do you dare to doubt it?

Red Cloak

A strange bird in a red cloak. Where did it come from? Where is it going? These questions and more will almost certainly never be answered.

Danger

As the alarms sound the color fades away from the guarding rooster. He knows that someone or something is around. He is in full alert.

Vibrant Shadow

I do a lot of fancy outlines and 'auras.' This is kind of the opposite. Instead of a streak of color around the figure we have an empty space, with the vibrant colors outside shown.

Wanderer

A gentlefowl travelling through the desert in the west. Facing dangerous highwayfowl he saves the innocent whether they be rich or poor.

Violet Figure

There are a number of purples here but I'm not sure any of them are actually violet. These are a bit too vibrant compared to a violet. And certainly not my preferred lavender or lilac. Disregarding that the word violet is striking so it's the title.

Killing Blow

A terrifying snake in the darkness preparing to strike, devouring the wandering fowl. But the chicken struck the deadly first blow. It would be the one to eat well tonight.

This more abstract artistic rendition over the normal style or something realistic suits the piece.

Dark Detective

A hard-boiled detective with an eye for adventure and the heart of a demon. Or was it the opposite. Either way the police refuse to listen even as he's solved the case, because he is a giant Chicken.

Spanner

A spanner in the works. The literal wrench in the gears or the individual causing problems. This chicken is one and has one.

It's Something

Something is better than nothing and nothing is what we've released in the last couple weeks. I think I'll be aiming for quantity in the short term to make up for that. After all a jumble of pieces is bound to have a gem or two.
