Eye Hell

It's hard to say what wrong this bird did, but we can say with certainty that it did wrong. Elsewise it wouldn't be in a place like this.

This was colored. I colored it and even . Then I uncolored it because that is more artsy than what I had before.

Different Eye

In this piece I decided to use a more detailed eye, but not a really detailed eye. It's just different from usual and isn't making changes and slowly advancing one's style the key to becoming more skillful.

Interesting Outlook

This piece is an inquiry into the abstractness of the eyes that I have made so many times on this website. The eye in the center is nothing and anything. By surrounding it with other trappings it is defined. Looking at the beak on the left one can see it as an angry, or at least determined eye. Looking at the beak on the right it is obviously a sad or guilty eye. In this way the eye is given clear characteristics

Eye Color

For this piece I decided to copy a move from some old cartoons. That is not having whites of the eyes. Now, I've done that before, but I decided to even do the glint in the eye as just blank space. This helps to give this piece a slight shift in appearance from my usual style.

Looking Fowl: Eye of Weakness
By
Chicken Maker
at
There was a chicken with a Looking Eye, the Eye of Weakness. Once ones eyes met them they could never look away and all strength in their body would simply drain away. They were at the mercy of the fowl or any passer-by who might avert the bird's eyes.
A guard passing through the woods can find many things, as this one did today. A hen was roosting int he middle of the path. Normally he'd pay it no mind. Step around it or kick it aside, but today the man lowered himself down to move the bird out of the way. He was truly a generous sort on this occasion.
Unfortunately for him this bird was not sitting there randomly. The guard had fallen into a thief's foul trap. As he grasped the bird it's eyes opened and the guard collapsed, his eyes locked on the bird. Mere moments later a man took the bird from his feeble grip. Soon this man would have all of the guards things, and the guard would draw his last breath.

But, a small mercy saved the guard. The bird turned it's head and met the eyes of the thief. As the hen looked away from the guard his strength flooded back, and the thief quickly collapsed. The guard's boot brought an early end to the thief's career, crushing his hand. Uncertainly he lifted the bird under one arm, and took the thief in the other.
On that day the bird was a hero who had helped with catching the thief.

This picture isn't actually Art Deco at all. I'm not sure why I called it that. I just looked at ti and that was what I thought so that was what I called it. I really like the over-sized eyes that don't totally fit on the face. It gives an interesting effect, especially combined with the black background. The elements just blend together with a nervous energy.
(Of course NOW google decided to randomly have downtime...)

Kung-Fu Comeback!
By

Well, I decided to let the Kung-Fu Chicken make a comeback because I wanna watch the Karate Kid(Starring Will Smith's son and Jackie Chan) some time. Maybe when it shifts into the Dollar Theater in a month or so I'll catch it. Anyways... WHA-CHA! Kung-Fu Chicken is deep in his training. Balancing himself on a log sticking out of the sea. He ain't even near any docks or anything like that. He stands strong against the striking world of swirls he lives in.

Go Along Doggy
By

The resolve and lightness of this piece brings forth a focus on the image's innate qualities. Without the passion or burning focus that is usually brought forth in these works the image is left to stand on its merits, and it falls short. While the feet don't look terrible they were clearly an after-thought and the tail-feathers are just sketched down and haven't been refined. The head is scrunched down by the comb and the eye feels too thick.

Burning Back

This chicken has a burning back and a strong intensity. The beak is, admittedly a bit off. Still I think this one came out pretty nicely. Sorry to cut the commenary short but I have things need doing.
He's got passion, and a strong look in his eye. Oh right. Yeah, the eye. I'm pissing with how I do eyes. I like the eyebrow on that one.

Devious Monster
By
Chicken Maker

It came to my mind all at once. The horror it would show. I had to put my (digital) pen to (digital) paper before it fled away from me. The image had to come forth into the world.
This chicken has a shocking glare. The devious stare of the monstrous chicken are incomparable. Evil eyes, belonging to neither man not chicken, stared into your soul. The red lightning of his vision cracks through the mind.
The dark shadows falling upon his body bring a force upon the appearance. The jagged details scattered through the image increase the feeling of evil. At a glance it lacks nothing. When you give it some time though it feels lacking. I don't know what it's missing but there is a lack for something.

Briones Sucks Now
By

You know I used to think that Briones might be better than me just because his looked nicer and he had more talent. But this one has restored my faith. Firstly it's a jpg which as I've explained numerous times means you just don't care. You see jpgs leave all sorts of artifacts on colors. Also the bottoms don't match up at all. I'll admit that the exploding eye is pretty good. I wouldn't have ever thought of it after all. It's a real shame that despite his talent he doesn't put very much real caring or passion into it.
I unfortunately don't have enough energy to explain to you more thoroughly right now internet but just remember that I'm the best.
If anyone would like to submit some sort of guest chicken then get me at kaloo0 on AIM.
