Johnny Comic 01-03

I'm going to mix it up a bit. Not sure how long this series will last, but it's always nice to do something different. It's been a while since I last drew a human. This being the site it is I'll be sure to sneak at least one chicken into each post of Johnny Comic.

Cruel Pride

The joyous smile hides unsettling realities behind it. The devilish fowl was positively giddy in its cruelty. Its bloody aura terrified those it looked down upon.

Chicken Rider - Endless Runner

Available now we have Chicken Rider, another Pico-8 game.

This is a pretty standard endless runner, but check it out if you have a few minutes.

The real goal was using this sprite from a couple years ago.

Blue in Red

I saw something about how modern art was stupid and sometimes a blue box in a red box is just that and doesn't mean anything. Seemed as good as anything so this is today's post. A red box containing a blue box containing a chickenmaker.net

Now, this site has been running for a full 10 years, so as a throwback I did one of the very first image on the site as well.

Jig

This fellow is doing a little dance. I was going to animate it, but then I didn't. Appreciate this honesty or don't. It's up to you. I might do it late, but it's hard to say.

Cute Splash

I made a simple and cute chicken (Utilizing my Rounder and Cuter style) and I decided it would look nice to just splash a handful of them onto the image, as seen here.

But then I considered it further and figured I should add a tile version for use as a desktop wallpaper, seen below here. I just switched my own desktop background so please enjoy this.

Power Stance

Just go with a good power stance. Take control of your board room. Random words. Keep the nonsense rolling. As long as you say it with confidence you don't need to know what you're talking about. Glowing red and green means using both blood magic and also nuclear power. With science and fantasy together you get an extra power up in the office. Go for that promotion and make full use of any easily exploited glitches in reality.

Super Sense

Most super senses are just variants of the Spider Sense. The same is true for the clearly superior Chicken Sense. With this particular sixth sense one can know that things they can see are coming right at them.

Land and Sea

Normally when I do these two color designs one of those colors is red. I don't think blue and green was a good choice, but land and sea or land and sky are a nice thematic pair. Maybe ground should be brown rather than green.

Jump Kick

The big bird was a real trouble maker. It had already killed the chickens companions, but after observing a wandering martial artist training the chicken mastered the jump kick. It was a technique that is absolutely not suited for a chicken, but even so it was a path to revenge.
