I made a game with pico-8. You can play it here: Lexaloffle
It was an entertaining experience since I haven't made a game since the rather shoddy Frogger knockoff I posted on newgrounds years ago.

Chicken Draw
By
Chicken Maker
at
I'm happy to say that Chicken Draw is now available once more. The new version is nicer, with more cards and an actual box, but is unfortunately more expensive as it runs $10 instead of the former $5 price tag. Up to 4 people can play though. Pdf is still free
I've had this update half done for months so I'm glad to finally make it available, exclusively at DriveThruCards.

Roosters & Rituals Now Available
By
Chicken Maker
at
Hello everyone!
Back in the distant past of 2013 I released Chicken Heroics, a nonsensical chicken-based tabletop RPG.
I am happy to announce that after announcing it back in 2014 I have finally released Roosters & Rituals: More on Spellcasting in the World of Chicken Heroics. I hope you'll check it out.
Get your copy of the 13 page expansion today exclusively at DriveThruRPG for just $1.50.
Also I had thought I previously posted more of the art from this book on here but i couldn't find it so let me share one of my favorites. It's about magic items so I just covered two chickens in random junk.

A Kid & His Monster Pal
By

I'm releasing a small game today that I call "A Kid and His Monster Pal" It's a simple little thing so there's not much to say about it. It's like those -mons shows. Digimon, pokemon, monster Rancher, etc. Some kids and their monster pals go on adventures.
Of course there's a chicken in it too. This picture isn't in color in the book but it is here so feel free to enjoy it.
Available for $1 exclusively on DriveThruRPG!

Stone & Sword
By
Chicken Maker

I make games. Some of them even have nothing to do with Chickens. Stone & Sword is now available for purchase, though I admit at $13 it is a bit more expensive than other items I've put out in the past. It's only $1 if you have the enthusiasm for print and play though.
I mean, of course, there is one chicken. I felt like I couldn't very well not include one. I mean ChickenMaker is the name I use when I sell things after all.

Money Cards
By
Chicken Maker
at
Hey folks. This is the newest product out from Chicken Maker. It's a simple accessory, being a set of cards marked with 1, 5 and 25 to allow score tracking and resource management in games. I actually went to buy something like this and couldn't find it so I figure I may as well be the one selling it.
I haven't got any silly fun content to go with this. I'll get some out quite soon.

Chicken Draw is now available on DriveThruCards. You can purchase the digital files for the grandiose price of $0, or decide to splurge and order a physical copy for $5. This is my first experience with their card printing. It's pretty good.

Chicken Draw: The Chicken Maker Card Game
By
Chicken Maker
at
Hey everyone. That card game I was making is out now. Hurray!
Rules
Cards
Here's the rules and the cards on Google Drive. I will tell you now that the Google Drive PDF viewer has all sorts of trouble with colors so you should probably download it and use Acrobat Reader or some other software to view it. Oh, and you probably don't need to print those purple card backs but they're there if you want them.
In 1-2 weeks when I got my proof copy you'll be able to buy a physical copy on DriveThruCards for $5.00. If you want you'll also be able to buy the digital version for the lofty price of $0.00 there. I'll make another post when that's available though.
Some things have changed with it since I started. I don't know why this game had each player build a deck in the first place. I wanna say it was part of the original challenge and I carried it though since it was trading card game like. Anyways It's now a simpler game with one deck of cards and one discard pile. I got rid of some of the more complicated rules and nonsense I had in it. Those can go to other nonsense I make later... Like an expansion or something. "Roll Some Dice! The Thrilling Expansion to Chicken Draw." If this does get an expansion it almost definitely won't be called that.

Card Game Name
By
Chicken Maker
at
Chicken Maker Card Game just doesn't seem like a particularly good name for a game. Needs to be a big splashier. Something like Chicken Draw! or Cluck: The Chicken Maker Card Game. Actually I think I kind of like those mashed together. Chicken Draw! and then I can subtitle it The Chicken Maker Card Game. Anyways the game's not really done yet so I suppose the name isn't needed right away. I did want to know if you guys had any ideas though. After all my fanbase, which I used to and generally still do consider imaginary, is a creative resource I should exploit.

Card Game
By
Chicken Maker
at
Hey, you may recall that at one point, years ago, I made a card game. It was honestly kind of awful and that's why I started working on a revised version the other day. Maybe it's a 2nd edition. At any rate it will be much better looking and probably even get some proper play testing as opposed to the rather light testing the original got. It certainly has some better rules already. Anyways I just felt inclined to let you guys know that I'm working on something for the site. I haven't done any sort of big project in a while and, well, that sort of thing is fun. Every card will be based off an older post, including most of the ones from the original. If you've got any favorites feel free to make requests.

Chicken Heroics in Print

I just reviewed the print proof of my silly Chicken Heroics game so I can tell you all this. It is now available through DriveThruRPG's Print on Demand program as a perfect bound paperback, in addition to the PDF option that was available previously.

I am posting up my new game. It is called Claim Jump. It was designed for a Print and Play contest over on Board Game Geek with the requirement that it was the size of a postcard. So it is, with the front and back included here. Now I know what you're thinking, but just look at Green. I wouldn't leave the game sad and chicken-less.
Robin Gibson posted up a version of this game with nicer art. Also actually usable as a postcard. Check it out here.

Chicken Heroics is Out!
By
Chicken Maker
at
Chicken Heroics is now out. This is our first for sale project, so I hope some of you will take an interest in it, though I'll admit it's rather niche, being a Tabletop RPG and all. A PDF version of the book is now available on DriveThruRPG (linked here) for the very reasonable price of $3. I suppose I should aim for some absurd number of sales... Let's go for 10 copies!
With this project finished up I will probably get a proper start on some others I've had on the back burner.
Experience a new and unique fantasy RPG setting in a world without elves, orcs, and dwarves! Or Humans for that matter.
Hatch a character and enter a world of fowl adventure!
Battle the Cult of Cluckthulu!
Confront a Tyrannosaurus!
You may be a chicken, but you aren't a coward!
With this project finished up I will probably get a proper start on some others I've had on the back burner.

Real Dice Roll!
By
Chicken Maker
at
Exactly one year ago I designed and posted the Chicken Rolls dice game. And when I did I declared that I would make physical dice with the design... And now I have. It turns out none of the local shops sell blank dice so I ended up not getting any until I went to a convention yesterday. I suppose I could have ordered online, but in the end it's done so here it is.

ChickenMaker™: The Board Game
By
Chicken Maker
at
This is the long sought after ChickenMaker™: The Board Game.
Here's what you'll need!
1 six-sided die(Borrow it from Yahtzee or Monopoly or just buy some at the drug store)
A printed copy of this.(If you're feeling ritzy you can spring for some card stock)
Something to use for player tokens(I'm a fan of pennies)
How to Play
Before starting play everyone should choose a token and decide the order of play. Clockwise around the table is favored for convenience. Place each token on the START space.
On Your Turn
Now I hope everyone will have fun with this, or at least gives it a try!

On Your Turn
- Roll the die.
- Move the number of spaces you rolled, following the turquoise lines.
- If you landed on a space with a marking follow the instruction on the sheet
- If you rolled a six take another turn.
- If you rolled a one you are passed next time it is your turn.
The first one to reach the END space is the winner.

Chicken Maker: Limited Card Game
By
Chicken Maker
at
Here we present another game designed by yours truly.
If you want to actually play the game I advise you to purchase a pack of Index cards and either attempt your own chicken drawings or paste these ones onto them.(I suggest drawing. It seems funner that way, and you will have a different style than your opponent even though you're no doubt both using Shades McCoolguy.) This game had been haphazardly balanced and play-tested so I suggest that you use the stats and effects listed on the cards here.
Deck Construction Rules
You assemble your deck of 13 Chicken Maker cards from the Library. You may not use any cards not contained in the library nor can you use more of any given card than is contained in the library.
Play Rules
00) Each Player begins with a Power of 15 and draws five cards
[SETUP PHASE]
01) If you have cards in your deck draw one card.
02) Place a Chicken face down. This chicken is your Lead.
03) Play any number of supporting Chicken cards, face down.
[COMBAT PHASE]
04) Reveal your Leads
05) At this point you may choose to reveal and activate your supporting Chicken cards.
06) The player whose Lead has the lower modified Attack Score subtracts the opponent's Lead's modified attack score from his Power. In the case of a draw neither side's Power is lowered. If this attack brings your Power below zero then you have lost.
07) Subtract the Cost Number of your Lead and any active support Chicken cards from your Power. If this act brings your Power below zero then you have lost. If both sides drop below zero then the one whose score is more negative loses.
[POST PHASE]
08) Remove all cards from the field and discard them.
09) Return to the Setup Phase.
Rule Clarifications
Chickens
Oh yeah. And in case you mistakenly think I did this on a whim... CHALLENGE COMPLETE! Not bad for my 600th post, eh?
Depending on how this goes over I might put out some expansion sets at some point.

Dice-Roll!
By
Chicken Maker
at
Everyone. I think you should congratulate Robert who won the giveaway because I rolled a dice and he won.
But enough about him. This site is about drawing chickens... and right now Dice. Dice that are chickens!
Okay. I even have a game set up for this.
_______________
Chicken Rolls
Suitable for players age 4+ due to the choking hazard of the dice. For 2-6 players
Required: 1 six-sided die, or 1 Special-Made ChickenMaker™ Chicken Rolls Die. A sheet of paper and pen or pencil.
Use the following chart to assign each chicken part to a corresponding die face
1: Egg
2: Eye
3: Beak
4: Wattle
5: Comb
6: Foot
Starting the Game: Before beginning play each player should roll the die. The player with the highest roll will go first. (Consult the chart above if using an official ChickenMaker™ Chicken Rolls Die)
Playing the Game: Players take turns rolling the die counterclockwise from the player who started. Record what is rolled unless it is an egg, in which case the player receives nothing for that turn.
Winning the Game: To win the game the player must have 2 Eyes, 1 Wattle, 2 Feet, 1 Beak and 1 Comb then roll an egg.
Variants
More Dice: Using multiple dice for each roll can make the game run faster, but removes much of the tension from play.
Egg Wins: If you roll an egg at any point you win. You can also win my assembling 1 Eye, 1 Wattle, 1 Foot, 1 Beak, and 1 Comb.
Less Parts: Under this variant rule the wattle and comb are replaced by a second eye and foot, respectively. They are also removed from the win conditions.
_______________
And I'm gonna straight up make this die. I'm pretty sure I can get a blank d6 at the local comic shop. That will also be posted on this site of course. Probably won't be colored though.
