Hey folks. This is the newest product out from Chicken Maker. It's a simple accessory, being a set of cards marked with 1, 5 and 25 to allow score tracking and resource management in games. I actually went to buy something like this and couldn't find it so I figure I may as well be the one selling it.
I haven't got any silly fun content to go with this. I'll get some out quite soon.

HERO: BATTLE FINAL
By

And now, finally, after all the time it took. HERO is complete, never to return. I think I had some good ideas, but the execution wasn't that great. And I forgot whatever plot I had planned for things more than once. If you've been watching sorry for the wait, and if you haven't you should take a look at the rest of the series.

HERO: BATTLE 04

I'm sorry. This issue took nearly nine months to come out. The next, and final, issue will be posted in a more timely manner. Enjoy the battle between the Rookie and the King.

Okay. Here is the next part of Hero. I'm sorry to say that it doesn't really focus on our ball-like protagonist though. It instead serves to give us some insight on some of the other characters. And by insight I mean I wanted to draw the fight between the Wizard and The Cowboy. I also included another one of those profile type pages.
Next part will be out when it is. Ain't getting cocky this time.

Sorry this third part took so long. I had to relearn how to draw the characters. For previous issues see the Project Page.
Will the Rookie and Hero manage to defeat the Witch and her Winged Eye, Wai? Will the Fool survive? What does the Cowboy look like? What's Hero's cool finishing move? Find out all these and more in this issue of HERO!
And, while I feel a bit cocky... Expect the next issue before the end of the month! After all. We're reaching the good part!

Here's the prequel issue of Hero, as promised. For links to other issues see the project page on the sidebar. I'll resume the story with Issue 02 soon, promise. Now for the story. How did The Rookie and Hero end up in the deadly Grand Tournament?

Well, I first posted up a design for this project at the end of May. And now, as we approach the middle of August I release the first issue. Since you guys didn't give me any feedback when I told you I had no idea how I'd be posting this up for you to view I had to think on my own and well, I'd hate to look lazy so I decided to put some actual effort into it.
Unfortunately I haven't quite figured out how that'll be working yet so here's all the pages linked in a nice list, because they're too wide to post in a row. I suggest opening them all in background tabs(that's clicking with the mousewheel) then just going through the tabs one by one. It's really not a terrible way to post it I suppose.
In this project I ended up using both MSPaint and Photoshop. The Photoshop was mostly just for the text, cause that stroke effect makes it look so much nicer on a non-solid background. I also saved it with that in the end and apparently it doesn't like MSPaint's 4 default grays since it turned them into two interlaced piles of near identical grays. That's all in good fun though.
Now you'd think that since this is Battle 01 then obviously the next issue is Battle 02 and normally I'd agree with you but instead I decided that starting it from here would leave anyone who actually read it confused so I'll be doing Battle 00 next which will be what led up to the events of the comic. It will probably only be a few pages but that's cause it'd get boring if I drug it out.
So, please tell me what you think!

Same Chicken Post #5 (Photoshopped)

Here we have my Photoshopped Style. It's not really something I use much. The antialiasing bothers my eyes a bit so I tend to avoid using it. Plus it makes me lazy. There's really not much to say about it. This is just my Basic style really, only I use Photoshop to make it. The eye was hard to color and I ended up having to brush it in instead of dumping. Normally I' have taken advantage of it being photoshop and applied a nifty effect(like charcoal sketch) but not as part of this series.
---
I can't think of any other styles I use so this is the end of the project for now. If you can then I would appreciate you linking me to an example of it(or just mentioning it) in a comment on this post. But until another one comes up this series is Currently Complete.

Stay In The Lines

I felt like a coloring book, which for me was usually being angry because I inexplicably didn't have red and only had that Violet Red that looks red until you draw with it and it's purple. This is of course the reason the eye is purple and my reds are Cherokee Red(or whatever that color's called now)
Anyways I got bored and decided I ought to mix it up with a bit of PhotoShop so I'd have some pieces that look more different.(I may in fact be doing this exact piece again in Paint, just for some side by side comparison)

Independence Day Special

Ahem. 4th of July special. I can't draw fireworks. Photoshop let me do a good job. Used a filter to unify the image. I think it came out quite nicely. The fireworks were just a picture and I'll admit the beak is lackluster but it looks nice all together.

celebratory photoshop chicken
By

As I'm sure you can all see this blog has recieved it's first comment and I am fairly certain I've heard that for every 1000 fans something it is only likely to get 1 comment. As such I have posted a celebratory photoshop chicken. However as I know this fellow I cannot use him to justify my celebration. I need a comment from someone I've never spoken to in real life. Still it is a time of celebration.

This site will no longer be limited tby the constraints I arbitraritly put on it. There are two factors that had horribly limited the potential of this blog
The First is of course the Chicken. By limiting the site to chickens I limited the possible things that could be created. Looking to the left you see the far superior turkey. Just one of the many things that I can now look into using
Secondly I am no longer limiting myself to the biggest flaw. I speak, of course, of MS Paint. Using advanced programs like Photoshop and Paint.NET I can use effects that were nearly impossible using the primitive MS Paint.
