TechnoMage

To engage in technology or magic. This is truly one of the hard questions in life... as long as we accept that magic is an analogy for nature or something like that.

In this fowl fellow's case though it is much more literal. Robot eye vs Wizard robe. Lightning Bolt vs Cog. Truly a challenge. It's not a balancing act that can be kept up forever.

Symbology

The complex symbology here may be going over your head here, but (And you can quote me) The chicken is greater than anything negative.

The / and ] are actually meaningless. Does using a bunch of symbols count as symbolism? Well, I'm going to use the tag anyways.

Empty Feeling

The bold outlines set an unfulfilled tone as the dull listless colors fill them in, representing a struggle to achieve a solid result. The unclear eye gives and impression that the fowl lacks character. The black in the inside of the beak, alongside the black background, implies that there is nothing inside the chicken.

Anyways, what I'm trying to say is... I missed a day. My attempt to post every day this month has failed. Heh...

Art's Cross

The crossed lines represent the boxes we draw our selves into eventually generating the wrong impressions of us. Your waddle isn't yellow. That's a falsehood created by your false persona.

I decided to try to be artsy.

Also sorry for trying to cram in this month's posts under the wire here.

BG Tree

Today's chicken is more or less just the standard fair. You know Basic Chicken Maker Style. If you don't like it then this site ain't for you. What's important today is that I put a tree in the background, symbolizing the unyielding strength to stand and grow that this chicken strives to achieve.

Overlapping Squares With Overlap

It's a bunch of overlapping squares(NOT RECTANGLES) with bits filled in to make it look a bit like a chicken. It gives a nice change of pace, which is something I'm always trying for.You see his endlessly trapped existence symbolizes how most of us, even if we go outside of the boundaries are just ending up in a different set of boundaries, never really being free. Mind I rather like Boundaries.

Also went to RiftTrax Live Reefer Madness today. That was a fun time, so you can expect something knocked off of it later on.

Cut Away Letters

Here's a chicken with a stencil of the word chicken over it. At least that's how I've been vaguely thinking of it. I can imagine it being in some variety of cartoon theme song. So yeah. You can see the chicken that it there through the hole that is the letters. And what is that hole if not the filters we put of people when we look at him. You can only see him through the filter of chicken.

Through Fire and Flames

Well, I finally got around to another post, but unfortunately This thing hates me again and both refuses to display my image at true size or let me into the Edit HTML thing so I can do it myself. Also it no longer links to the picture but to my Google Album, which it has been doing for a while but I didn't care about because it was shown properly on the site. Now that I'm done whining about things I will talk about today's art.
This is a chicken with some sharp yellow eyes striding through fire and flames. And, if you look at the fire and flames, you will see the silhouettes of two other chickens within the fire. They represent those who he's had to abandon and he must be resolute in his decision to keep pressing forward.

EDIT: Managed to fix the size. Thing is mean to me...

Dull to Illusion

Most people spend their lives behind in an illusion that they are interesting by hiding their dull existences behind the few interesting things they find. This chicken, which is given a dull coloration to denote the nature of its life, is just hiding behind the bright orange glasses that distort the reality and give an illusion of something interesting. Hiding behind the illusion the figure is blissfully unaware of the reality it is hiding from. The chicken gives an impression that it will probably never find anything real in life. While disillusioning himself he will never notice his real unique points, like his wide waddle, that may have le him be something special without any tricks.

Corners

Okay, here we have my latest work. I call it corners, because two of the corners are given emphasis. The chicken is black and white to give the piece a relaxed yet formal feel. The corners help show the box he had built around himself. He is just hiding behind layers and walls and corners and doesn't want people to see the real him.

Warhol?

On his fine... Saturday evening I have for you my good men one of those Warhol 4 panel chickens. Mind you I looked around a bit and I couldn't actually find a single one of these by Andy Warhol. Just a lot of Warhol style 4 panel things. I thought I found one but it turned out to be a nine panel thing. The whole thing makes it very hard to trust common terms when you can't find any basis for them at all.

All that having been said this piece represents the different facets of the personality of this one chicken. Just look at them one by one. The envious green, the angry red, the smooth and cool blue one and the... purple one.

Tatters

In a world of black and white there are the tatters of those who fall between. That which is in the torn edges of reality is a shadow of possibilities, hopes, despairs, living, breathing, crying, loving, and life. That's what's in reality. Reality isn't black and white it's what's in between.

Next up we'll be having a generic old-school hero. Those guys are all about the black and white.

HALLOWEEN GUN BATTLE!!

CHICKEN FIGHTS DEVIL WITH MACHINE GUN.
You see the devil represents... the devil, and the machine gun represents the fun times of Halloween. Meanwhile the chicken is a sign of the children, who are defeating the devil with fun. You see the greatness of the fun times we used to have was that they were scary sometimes but now they're boring. Mind you that's not important. What's important is that...
CHICKEN FIGHTS DEVIL WITH MACHINE GUN.

Oh, and I cut in the pumpkin for extra Halloween.

Chaser

Okay, we're back to full awesome. As promised this has quality. You see that shading on the chicken, right? It has Epic awesomeness. He's being chased by a demon made of fire. It even has things I didn't promise like symbolism and confusion.

The chicken is fleeing from hell, or something of that sort, where he was a prisoner being treated as a pet of sorts by the demon. However as he runs he runs somewhere that isn't even comprehendable and still just keeps fleeing because no matter how well treated he was he was still a prisoner and he needs to escape.

Oh, and if you didn't catch the symbolism even a golden collar is still a collar.

You Can Dream The Dream

This snail can dream the dream. The snail dreams of being a chicken. Even if he's slow and mollusky he still believes that he fast and poultry-esque. And it is that steadfast belief and dream that keeps him going every day as he dreams his dream. Everyone has a dream they're dreaming and I'm sure that even You Can Dream The Dream.

I gave the snail chicken attributes because he works toward his dreams and he can accomplish them.

Stained Overlap

I'm going all ojut today apparently. I guess I got hit by a burst of inspiration. And now I'm gonna burn it all up!

This piece is called Stained Overlap. Exploring notions of lighting and color the light coming unseen from the background passes through the identical staggered "stained glass-esque" images. As the two overlap the image becomes clearer to the eyes and the colors sharper, while the sides, where only one panel is being seen the colors are dull and unclear.

The piece, of course, shows that, while together we are strong and powerful, alone we are weak and can't truly express the points we want to show. If you are all alone then you will never be anything but a dull, unclear voice, but together you will be a sharp clear force pushing through the world...

It's been a while since I done a nice one like this.

Some Days I Feel Crazy Go Nuts

Not very often mind you, but some Days I feel crazy go nuts. today was apparently one of those days since I drew this thing. I'm fairly certain its about being a manly man means being a crazy dude, but I can't say for sure.

Looking Out

This here be a chicken staring out into the sun set. Reminds me of No Boundaries in so far as the subject matter. That is to say chicken staring at the with it's back to the viewer. Anyways this piece symbolizes looking back on all they've achieved while still being confident that there is more to come because every day the sun will rise again.

The Zed Word

Here's my Zombie. I received a request and I didn't see any good reason why I didn't have one.

So okay man. Let's see here. Firstly I made him that pale green color I seem to recall zombies being for some reason, then I of course had to use pale for the beak and comb too, so it didn't look like crap. Crescent moon is there because they're more stylish.

Of course the eye not being in the socket is there to represent his rage being blind. The Zombie isn't a racist or a sexist. It's more than willing to kill and eat you no matter who you are.  And, yes. That is a symbolism, because the Zombie represents the government or something to that effect. I guess that's more of a Social Commentary, though I did say I probably wouldn't be doing those. And this all relies on an absurd metaphor anyways.

Staring to the Heavens

This guy's looking up toward the heavens.  This embodies his search for a destiny and future. Oh, and I gave him some of those always closed eyes you see in cartoons sometimes. Anyways as I was saying this is about him staring at the sky in search of his destiny and future.

Course since he's a chicken that's probably his future as a sandwich or otherwise food
