I have decided to add an About Page to the sidebar Just finished up this pic. The page will be up in a moment.
This should alleviate some of my "But why a chicken blog?" comments and possibly turn them into "Oh dang. Best site ever" comments. I mean the second probably not, but the first yeah. Anyways it's basically a remake of the about post I did a while back. Even used the same pic.
Also 3 posts in a day... I think I'm back baby!

Scooby Equivalent

The chicken equivalent of Scooby-Doo. Look at Shaggy Chaggy and his pet dog chicken. He's a real coward and I drew up the Scooby eyes and used a roughly Scooby-Doo color.
Also this is part two of my 2010 Halloween updates.
EDIT: I forgot to say, "And Scooby Doo was a chicken to begin with." Also the left hand is backwards.

Rubber Mask
By
Chicken Maker

It's finally Halloween. While last years was awesome this year I have a very obvious product. The cheap rubber mask of chickens. I should probably have bought one of these. I would never have worn that sort of thing at any rate though so it really would have come to naught. Anyways cheap Rubber Masks are important. I mean we've all seen good old Scooby Doo!

A chicken spouting endless gibberish. He knows all and tells all, but nobody can understand a word of it. As such everyone thinks of him as a madman, and is just glad he isn't violent.

I guess that Banner took a lot out of me, but anyways I'm back with two chickens standing back to back. I call it Back Back. Very poorly worded title I'll admit.
Straight laced guy on the left.
Wild eyes wild man on the right.
Together they're an unstoppable team, based on every fictional duo ever.

Banner #3
By
Chicken Maker
at
Ah yes. Another new Banner. It's been a while. It's still purple since I'm a bit too lazy to actually go through and change the skin. It's just changing from dark purple to lilac. Which is, I suppose a bit of a girly color, but I don't care. I wanted to the site to be brighter looking. I'm not sure if I like it or not. Give me some opinions on it.
Also you may have noticed my claim that the site is "The Original MS Paint Blog!" As far as I know this is true and it certainly sounds good. If you can identify one older than me I'd love to see it. Until someone does though I maintain my claim o being the original MS Paint Blog.(It is still about passion but I can't be having a bunch of taglines)
Edit: Needed a couple rounds of minor editing

Colorful
By

I have heard that my fans wanted more colorfulness so I had no choice but to deliver obviously. This piece has many colors. In fact it has all 7 colors. Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Cyan, Blue, and Purple. Yeah, that's right. I counted Cyan and didn't split purple into two colors. That's because on the digital wheel Cyan is a color and orange isn't, but I can't very well pretend orange is a shade of red, can I?

Gritty Abstractness
By
Chicken Maker

Gritty Abstractness brings forth a clear impression of a chicken, but is too far away from a clear form to truly be called as stylized presentation of such. As such it is best to think of it as being an abstract image. The heavily shaded thick black and white form leaves a strong contrast in the image and the sharp angles bring out a distinct feeling.

Blog Action Day 2010: Water
By
Chicken Maker
at
Once more this not serious blog is participating in Blog Action Day, because I enjoy the occasional pouring on of social commentary.
Even if they can't count these guys make a strong case about drinking water being good. So, I think we can all agree that drinking water is important. Really though the site leading this is kinda wrong a lot.
If one billion people out of out 6.8 Billion people on earth don't have clean water... that isn't one in eight. I don't know if that first number's accurate but it certainly isn't the same as their ratio.(That would be about one in seven)
According to them the United States was opposed to clean Water and sanitation being a human right, but according to the link they provided the motion passed 122 to 0. Maybe we were opposed but we weren't that opposed.
But that site being a mess isn't really the point. And do these people realize what would need to be done to actually provide clean water to everyone in the world? They just assume that because I have something to say in their program that I'm on their side. I am to an extent but that sort of thing is expensive and given the current economic situation of the world that sort of project isn't going to be easy to pull off.
When we're all prospering we can help the poor and downtrodden, but when we're slipping and might become the poor and downtrodden we need to buckle down.
And of course here is a polluted version of the Experimental Water Chicken. He was one of my first, so even though he's not looking so great I can always pull him back for a bit of screen time. The chicken hasn't changed much(though he is dirty and crying now) but his surroundings were horribly polluted.

Today's chicken is more or less just the standard fair. You know Basic Chicken Maker Style. If you don't like it then this site ain't for you. What's important today is that I put a tree in the background, symbolizing the unyielding strength to stand and grow that this chicken strives to achieve.

Real Chicken Maker
By

Which of these is the real Chicken Maker? The great mystery of this site is obviously my true identity, so I've decided to share.
On the left is a young fellow in jeans and sneakers.
On the right is a chicken in mysterious brown.
I for one think it's probably the one on the right who is the real Chicken Maker
I dunno. I mean everybody else draws little doodles of themselves so I wanted to try doing it too...
EDIT: I hear your complaints and have attempted to correct the error.

Old Paint is Better
By
Chicken Maker
at
Having seen many people doodle with MS Paint these days I said to myself, "Why are these people drawing so stupidly. They seem clever with their witty comments." Then I played on a Windows 7 computer. What the hell did they do to my beloved Paint. I mean I'd seen screen shots and things before and been kinda 'eh,' but I figured a bit of mussing with it and it'd be back to the old standard. But NO! I mean if I used the pencil instead of the brush I got rid of the anti-aliasing but that's not good enough! Whole thing just doesn't work for me.
And I hate those Ribbon Interfaces. I didn't even realize you could ruin Microsoft Office until I actually started using them regularly last year. And I just realized I whined about this before, but I feel like I should whine again anyways. Because this isn't just a chicken website. It's also an MS Paint website.
Here's a thing to get it back to the good one. I suggest all you Paint artists follow it and get back old MS Paint where there was none of that anti-aliasing and ribbons and what-not that doesn't belong in MS Paint.
Here's a chicken. Made in MS Paint. The Paint Bucket tool is dumping over his head to color him in, which wouldn't work out properly had I used the Windows 7 version of Paint.(There'd be all those little off-white fragments around the edge.)

REMAKE!
A hard-line tough guy living in the endless wastelands of the future. Crossing a seared and desolate world, walking past those he'd stood with in the past. So many terrible deaths surrounded him and he had nothing left. He alone had survived his last battle and has been left with a terrible scar, both mental and physical.

The 3 Rs
By

Honestly... I don't care that much about the Environment. I just do things when they're convenient but I throw piles of stuff in the trash. And I'll refill soda bottles with water for a week or the such. All in all I can't say I'm good for it. But it's good to recycle when you can, even if you don't at every chance. You don't need to be that Green, but a bit helps.
Oh, and don't give me any "Protecting the Earth" nonsense. The Earth will be fine even if we 'ruin it.' We might not be too happy if humanity can't do things like get food or breath though.
Also I can't remember the 3rd R. Reuse, Recycle... Oh yeah Reduce.

And now to speak of it from an artistic perspective. This is of a style that seems familiar to me, though I can't place the name. I had thought it was Matte, but that is not right. The bits of black stroked through it help to define outlines without being obtuse or out of place, aside from a few small places, like the tip of the comb. It gives a clear impression of what it is, though the 'dust' isn't formed in a regular manner and seems out of place with the rest of the piece. The endless void feels as if it should mean something, but its meaning is unclear.

This chicken is working on his art. He took his paint brush and stared at the stone wall, then he decided that he should probably try to be artsy, so he put on a beret. And once the purple beret was on his head he made the distinct lines of the chicken form. Truly among his greatest masterpieces, since it was his first masterpiece. Eventually his art would be out-show his first, but it would always be his first masterpiece.
